How long does Botox last?

I've been hearing so much about it lately that I'm thinking I might try one Botox treatment myself, just to see if I like it or not. But what if I don't like the results or find it makes me look a little bit fake? I doubt there's any way to reverse a Botox treatment so I'm wondering how long does it last? I've heard it can last a year or longer sometimes but is that true? So on average, how long do people go between Botox sessions? Thank you all very much.

Botox is very popular because it doesn't cause a radical change. It's a great treatment to soften existing wrinkles or even stave off new ones. My doctor says more new botox patients are in their 20s and early 30s these days.

After you get Botox, it takes several days to see the results of your treatment. Thankfully, the results last 90 to 120 days for me. One of my friends has Botox injections every six months and another goes twice that often. Ultimately, it depends on your body's metabolism and your doctor's skillful application. Ask for several doctor referrals and request a consultation before choosing the right plastic surgeon or dermatologist.

If you go to an experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon, he or she knows how many units of botox are needed to achieve the results you're after. The doctor knows you want long-lasting subtle results. Plan on touch-ups every three months but, if you're lucky and don't need them that often, good for you!

My Botox injections usually last around four months. My first one lasted just under three months, and my doctor said it's normal for the first one to wear away a bit faster than later touch-ups. Of course, all of this is subjective because every body responds to this type of treatment differently. It may also depend on the skill level of the practitioner giving your injections, so make sure that you're working with a well-trained professional with years of experience. They will decide the best injection sites and how much to inject at each site, and that will determine how natural you look when it's done. It doesn't hurt to give it a try, since you can go back to your normal appearance within three or four months
