About The doctor
- Dr. Ridenour completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University, where he graduated with honors and special distinction in the major of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry while a four year member of the varsity swimming and diving team. He graduated among the top of his class at Tulane Medical School where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. During medical school, Dr. Ridenour worked as a research fellow at the LSU Eye Center where he studied and published original research on the role of essential fatty acids and phospholipid metabolism in the healthy and diseased retina. Following medical school he completed a two year program in general surgery and a four year program in Head and Neck Surgery at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He then finished a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. During his fellowship he performed proprietary research at the Bristol Meyers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Division - studying the role growth factors in bone regulation, regeneration and wound healing.
Dr. Ridenour is a member of numerous professional organizations. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
