Completing his residency in reconstructive and plastic surgery at Yale University, he later returned to UCLA where he received an advanced fellowship in craniofacial surgery. Dr. Burstein continues to keep abreast of all the latest developments in rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery eyelids and dermal fat grating.
In 1989, Dr. Burstein began practicing at Atlanta Plastic Surgery, PC, and later that year became—and is still today—Director at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Center of Craniofacial Disorders. Prior to this position, he served as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for over a decade.
Dr. Burstein bears the distinction of consistently being designated an annual “Top Doctor” by Atlanta Magazine and, in 2008, was named one of the top doctors in the country. He is a clinical professor at Emory University and has published numerous articles on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His resume includes his tenure as President of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as memberships in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
