How long does Juvederm last? Is there a way to make it last longer?
I’ve been reading all kinds of articles about Juvederm but none of them seem to agree on how long the Juvederm lasts. Is it 4, 6 or 12 months? Can I do something to prolong the effects of a Hyaluronic Acid filler? I don’t know if I can afford spending money on this every few months.
Isn't it interesting how so many references can cite greatly varying treatment result timelines? This is due, in part, to the maintenance of avoiding activities that initially caused your wrinkles and fine lines combined with heredity. Generally speaking, results from Juvederm injects can last from nine months to a year after the first injection (https://www.drugs.com/juvederm.html). Typically repeat procedures, as needed, use only a portion of the initial amount of hyaluronic acid. Yet, Juvederm is intended to produce temporary results. If additional results are preferred, an injectable that provides longer-lasting results may be a better fit.
Prolonging the effects of Juvederm injections begins within the first 24 hours after the procedure. By avoiding sun exposure, refraining from strenuous physical activity, and not partaking in alcoholic beverages, your body is well on its way to healing. Also, by investing in other types of skin care the effects of Juvederm may be prolonged by avoiding further damage. Facial peels, laser treatments, and non-surgical procedures can help enhance skin health.
I had Juvederm Volbella treatments completed around my mouth to fill cigarette lines and to enlarge my lips. The filler is gentle and malleable. My cosmetic doctor showed me how to massage any lumps, and I returned to top my treatment off and to perfect the look that I wanted. This will also ensure that it lasts longer. The Volbella results last up to a year, and my doctor recommended that I repeat the treatment every six months to maintain the exact look that I want. Juvederm is durable, but it is reabsorbed into the body, and regularly timed treatments will help it to last longer. I'm thrilled with my results. I hope this helps you.
It depends on the type of Juvederm product used. I know Juvederm Voluma lasts longer than 12 months, and in certain cases as long as 18 months. Restylane, which is another filler similar to Juvederm (both HA fillers) lasts around 9 months. I've had Restylane put into my tear troughs and Voluma put into my cheeks. Voluma definitely lasts longer.
