Is it dangerous to get Botox and Fillers together?

I am interested in refreshing my face a bit with some non-invasive treatments. Is it dangerous to get Botox and Fillers at the same time? This is my first time getting any treatment so I am kind of new to the process.

Hello - I just discovered this forum and came across your question. I am 42 years old and have had/currently use both fillers and Botox. I have received both treatments during the same visit to my doctor. It is absolutely safe and effective to receive both treatments at the same time.

The reason it's very common for patients to receive both Botox and fillers during the same office visit, is that they treat different concerns. Botox is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles by preventing muscle contraction. Fillers help redistribute volume that is lost as we age. When you're young, the fat distribution in your face is like an Apple (fat is is in your cheeks), but as you age, the fat distribution in your face tends to look more like a pear (falls into your jowls). By combining both treatments, doctors can help rejuvenate an entire person's face by tackling wrinkles and volume loss. Botox lasts 3-4 months and fillers last 9-18 months, depending on the filler used, so you will not always receive both treatments at the same appointment. During my visits, I receive Botox and Juvederm XC, a hyaluronic acid-based filler (similar to Restylane).
