Can I ask for a specific cup size for the breast reduction?
Or is it the doctor who decides how big my breasts should be after a breast reduction? I remember wearing a C-cup bra when I was much younger, and that size was perfect for my body. I'm 5'3" and 135 lbs.
Your doctor can approximately predict what bra size you will become, and you can give him/her an idea of what you want too. But all bra manufacturers make slightly different versions of each cup size, so the prediction may not be accurate for all bra brands. With breast reduction surgery, we usually try to get rid of enough volume to alleviate the issues that are being caused by your large breasts. And at the same time, we try to make the final size proportionate to your body size. You can discuss the specifics with your surgeon to get a better idea for your situation. Best of luck!

It's so difficult to predict cup size. Different manufacturers measure differently, so when we ask what size you want to be it gives us an idea. You are so right; maintenance of body harmony is KEY.
