Can I avoid visible scars with an endotine mid-face lift?
Since the incisions are made inside the mouth and on the temples, I imagine that the scars are probably hard to notice if you have enough hair to cover them up. Even thought I'm a 51 yo male, I still have plenty of hair left, so this wouldn't be a problem for me atleast for awhile.
Hi. The incisions are usually made inside your mouth and within the part of your temple/scalp that has hair. So, the resulting scars should be hidden. If you develop male pattern baldness in the future, these scars are still usually in a location that will be covered by hair. But it is always possible that they could become exposed. Hopefully, even if that happened, they would be small enough and well-healed enough so that it isn't too noticeable. Hope that helps. Best of luck!
Endotines are just a specific way of holding the tissues in place, as opposed to sutures or glue. They have no effect on the scarring. The scarring is function of where the incisions are placed, the amount of tension on the incisions, the precision in the closure, and the way your body heals. I recommend going to a skilled, experienced plastic surgeon for your procedure to maximize the outcome.
