Can I do a rhinoplasty and chin implant in one surgery?

When I was 8 years old I had an accident that left me with a crooked chin. As I grew the shape of my nose became unaesthetic to me and I started to think about a rhinoplasty. The thought of undergoing one painful surgery scares me and I heard that there are some doctors that perform both of them in one go. Is it possible or do you recommend to do them separately?

Absolutely Rhinoplasty and Chin Implant can be done at the same time. Many times for example; in Reduction Rhinoplasty where we reduce the size of a large dominant nose,  the chin implant many times will bring a large dominant nose into better balance.

A chin implant done by a plastic surgeon is a relatively simple procedure , the hard part is finding the right shape and size. Many surgeons such as myself will custom carve and individualize the chin implant after the Rhinoplasty to obtain the best results.

A plastic surgeon should be able to help you decide and if he/she does not suggest it feel free to bring up chin implant to your surgeon if you think it may help.

They can be done together. If you have a crooked chin from an accident as a child, you need to be evaluated for a subcondylar mandible fracture
