Can I get a tummy tuck & breast augmentation together?
I have wanted to have a breast augmentation since I had my last child but there was no time to do it while the kids were growing up. I never lost the desire to have it done but the realities of parenting didn't leave much room for such considerations at that time. Now that my kids are raised, happy and out of the house, I feel like it's time for me to do this! Also after giving birth to three children, I would love to have a tummy tuck. Finances are not a problem now so all that remains is for me to do some research and schedule a consultation. What I need to find out first though is whether or not I could combine both surgeries in one session--is this possible? And if it is possible, is it recommended? I don't want to do anything that could work against me or the success of my surgeries. I'd be willing to undergo two procedures in two separate visits but if I can have both done in one, that would be amazing! I can't wait to hear your response!
Thank you for your inquiry. Breast augmentation and tummy tuck surgery are often combined at the same time. Provided you are not very overweight and relatively healthy, the risks should be small. I would seek a consultation with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
Thank you for sharing your question. You can have these two surgeries performed safely together. I do recommend having them performed at the same time for the simple reason of not having surgery twice. This combination of procedures is common in my office, and is called a "Mommy Makeover". Please be sure to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area. I hope this was helpful to you.
