Distressing white bump on my eyelid

A few months after I started wearing contact lenses I got this little white-ish bump on my right eyelid. It doesn't really hurt or anything but it doesn’t exactly flatter my eyes either. Maybe this isn't the right forum for this type of question but I'm going to give it a shot anyway: what does this white bump I got all of a sudden mean? Could it be potentially serious, something I should investigate. I'm only starting to get a little concerned now because I've had it for awhile and it doesn't look or feel like it's going to go away any time soon. Could the right specialist just snip it off and let me be done with it?

Hi there and thanks for the question. You should consult an opthalmologist regarding your concerns

Thank you for writing to Zwivel.

Without looking at it and feeling the bump it is hard to give a diagnosis. Please see an ophthalmologist  or a plastic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
