Do I Still Have Sutures Holding My Cartilage Together Many Years After an Otoplasty?

I had an otoplasty procedure done when I was 12 (16 years ago). I was under the impression that the sutures from my surgery dissolved. After doing some research, I think the set of sutures that were placed in my years 16 years ago to hold the cartilage are still there. Is this possible?

I am always nervous to fold my ears forward and have always been super cautious to never do this. Is it okay to fold your ears forward? Could this cause any issues?

Thank you for the question and you may have permanent sutures in place but at this point in time your cartilage should have taken on the new shape so little damage should occur with bending or pushing on the ears
