Does frequent sitting affect Brazilian butt lift results?
I had a Brazilian butt lift 8 days ago and I'll have to return to my desk job very soon. What I haven't been considering though is sitting on a chair all day long at work. Does that apply too much pressure to the grafts? Will a pillow help, and does it have to be specially designed for butt augmentations?
The fat grafts need time to incorporate and develop circulation in their new environment. I always tell my patients to avoid sitting on their buttocks for at least 2 weeks after surgery to allow the best chances for the fat to survive, otherwise more fat will die and get absorbed. If sitting is required, there are special pillows and chairs you can use to sit while placing pressure on the back of the thigh and not the buttocks.
