How long does a Brazilian butt lift last?

Is the Brazilian butt lift forever or does the fat go away after a while? All I know is that only a part of the fat will survive immediately after the surgery, but is the rest of it in danger over the years too?

The expectation from the literature is that 50-70% of the fat survives long-term but it's hard to know for sure. Some results appear tor retain 80% or more of the fat grafted. Whatever survives past 6 months or so is likely to be "permanent," though that fat may still look plumper or less plump as you gain or lose weight.
