How long does a breast augmentation surgery last?

I have never been put under general anesthesia before so I am a bit worried.  How long does a breast augmentation usually take?

F, 25, Florida

It usually takes 1.5 hours, give or take.   The size implant, the incision choice and patient's muscle and skin all play a part in how long the surgery takes.  General anesthesia is appropriate.  Your doctor should recommend a medical clearance from your primary care doctor prior to surgery.  It is appropriate to be a little nervous but just follow your surgeon's instructions and be sure you have checked out their credentials.  Augmentation patients are very happy!
