How much does Restylane usually cost?
I'm interested in a Restylane treatment to fill out my lips. How much will that cost? Do any surgeons use a sliding scale when it comes to their patients' economic concerns?
There's no general way to say exactly how much Restylane injections for lip augmentation cost. The answer depends on a number of factors which include the amount of dermal filler needed, the experience of the injector, and your geographic location.
On average, a single syringe of Restylane costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $600. But there are two important things to keep in mind when considering costs:
The first thing to remember is that the success of all cosmetic procedures depends on the skill and sense of aesthetics of the plastic surgeon. When you pay for filler injections, you are paying for experience -- not product.” Finding the cheapest doctor is sometimes far more costly in the long run.
The second thing to keep in mind is that, in many cases, a full syringe of Restylane filler is not required during a single Restylane treatment. The average cost for Restylane Silk lip injections in our clinic is somewhere between $250 to $600 depending on the individual case and the desired effect.
In many of the cases I see, patients are primarily concerned with fine lines above the upper lip. By carefully injecting a small amount of injectable filler in the area between the upper lip and the skin above the upper lip, we can smooth fine vertical lines and add beautiful definition to the upper lip.
In other cases, patients want their lower lip to have significantly more fullness than their upper lip. Each of these options requires different quantities of lip filler.
Without knowing what your personal lip enhancement goals are, there's no way to give you a more precise estimate.
To answer your second question: While I'm not aware of any sliding scale, every doctor handles finances a little differently. Most clinics will offer some form of payment plan to meet patients' financial needs. When you meet with your doctor for your initial consultation you can also inquire about what financing options they have available.
We’ve had excellent results using Restylane for lip enhancement and rejuvenation, and we have a large practice of satisfied clients who return regularly for repeat treatments. I suggest you schedule a free personal consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to review before and after photos of prior successes and to discuss which treatment options and payment options are best for you.
I can't quote a specific price because the cost is directly related to the amount of Restylane that’s required per procedure and I can’t estimate that without an in-person consultation. The quantity of filler required is determined by your unique facial features.
In our office, the price per syringe of Restylane is $550 but keep in mind that this price incorporates the skill and experience of the injector. When electing to use Restylane for your lip augmentation, natural-looking results really depend upon the aesthetic judgement and technical skill of the dermatologist.
In certain practices, injections are performed by physician assistants and certified injectors; in others, a dermatologist or plastic surgeon provides the service. When evaluating the overall cost, consider this factor too.
Lastly, because Restylane is a purely cosmetic procedure, it’s not typically covered by health insurance. However, many doctors do offer payment plans.
If you have any additional questions, please schedule a consultation with us and we’ll be happy to accommodate you to the best of our abilities.
The Restylane family of dermal fillers (Restylane Lyft, Restylane Silk, Restylane Defyne, and Restylane Refyne) are FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers which can add plumpness and definition to the face as well as reduce fine, frown, smile, and marionette lines and any other facial wrinkles. For lip augmentation, Restylane Silk is an excellent choice and gives plastic surgeons a high degree of control and precision.
The cost of Restylane injections depends on the amount of Restylane that needs to be injected for any specific patient. In some cases we need very little. In other cases, we may need to use a full 1cc syringe.
To give you some idea of costs, a full syringe will generally cost somewhere between $550 to $650 for the full syringe. But treatment costs on an individual level may be as low as $250 if not very much Restylane is required.
I would caution you against trying to find a great deal or bargain prices for Restylane treatment. As with many other facial rejuvenation procedures, dermal filler injections require a skilled injector with a knowledge of facial structure and a good understanding of aesthetics and balance. It's important to make knowledgeable decisions regarding injection sites, the depth of the injection, the types of filler to use, and the precise amount to inject.
It's also important to work with a doctor who understands the potential for negative results like allergic reactions and other potential side effects. As with plastic surgery (or any surgical procedures for that matter) there are more important considerations than price.
If cost is an issue for you, many plastic surgeons and dermatologists offer financing and payment plans to meet patients' needs and spread the cost of the treatment across several months. In most cases a doctor-affiliated financing company can be approve you for financing within 24 to 48 hours.
Always remember to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist for optimal results.
The cost of a Restylane injection depends on how much Restylane is required for the procedure, your geographical location and the experience of the injector. The cost also depends on which Restylane product you are considering: Restylane Lyft, Restylane Silk, Refyne or Defyne.
As with many cosmetic procedures, the experience of the injector should be an important part of your cost considerations. The cost of Restylane should be viewed as a combination of price and the skill, experience and aesthetics of the dermatologist or plastic surgeon employing it. Shopping around for the least expensive Restylane treatment may result in less than optimal results and a higher likelihood of the occurrence of common side effects like bruising and swelling.
We have an excellent track record using Restylane. I encourage you to contact us and review before and after photos of prior successes.
The cost of Retylane depends on the amount needed for the treatment and the type of Restyalane used. Our clinic the prices range from $200 to $595.
