How quickly can I exercise after CoolSculpting?
If I have CoolSculpting on my lower abdomen, can I go back to normal exercise the next day? I typically do a daily 45 minute aerobics class at my gym. There is some light lifting, but it’s mostly just a fast paced plyo circuit workout.
CoolSculpting (Zeltiq) is a noninvasive, well-tolerated fat removal technique that has little to no post-procedural downtime. As a result, you should be able to return to your exercise regimen the next day. In fact, some patients go back to their exercise routines on the same day of their treatment.
This doesn’t mean that you should ignore your body’s signals. If you feel fatigued or sore in the treatment area and notice any swelling, numbness or slight tenderness, you should rest for a couple of days. Missing a few days of exercise will not adversely affect your outcome.
Patients that lead a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise prior to CoolSculpting treatment can go directly back to the same exercise regimen afterwards. So it appears that this applies to you.
It’s possible you will experience a bit more fatigue, but this shouldn’t last long. You also may experience some swelling, and your workout could exacerbate this swelling. However, it will not hurt nor affect the results.
Many people feel more enthusiastic about exercise after a CoolSculpting session. Also, maintaining an exercise regimen along with a healthy diet and healthy weight will have a positive effect on your CoolSculpting results.
Following CoolSculpting body contouring treatments, some patients choose to visit a plastic surgeon for Zimmer Z-Wave treatment, which has been shown to have a more dramatic effect than post-CoolSculpting massages.
