How to quickly know if you have a cancerous mole?

Hi! I need you to put my mind at ease. I'm in my late 40's and I know that at my age stuff like skin cancer can start to pop up and be a real problem. How will I know when a mole is cancerous? Two of my aunts had melanoma moles, so it probably runs in my family. I can't really tell a skin cancer mole from a benign mole and I don't want to rush to the doctor's office for every little bump.

The best bet is to go to your dermatologist for an annual skin check, and additionally if a mole starts to change. Depending on where the lesion is, you may be referred to a facial plastic surgeon, or a general plastic surgeon to help in your care!
