How soon post gynecomastia surgery can I get areola reduction?

I had gynecomastia surgery last October so it’s been about 6 months. I’ve recovered just fine and I’m happy with the results. At the time I didn’t think I would need or want any type of areola reduction procedure, but I’ve recently changed my mind. I pretty much focus on the size of my nipples now that everything else besides them looks great. When can I start considering surgery?

We generally wait 3-6 months before doing secondary procedures like areola reduction, so you should be able to have it done now.  I would follow up with your doctor as he/she may have a different waiting period.

Dr. Gary Breslow has 1 Gynecomastia reduction before & after:

Usually by 6 months after surgery the skin and tissues have healed enough to have additional procedures. This is when an exam is really needed. Check with your surgeon.
