How will chin reduction affect orthognathic surgery?
I have an overbite and a crossbite, plus my upper jaw is too narrow for my lower jaw. I am needing and working on getting orthognathic surgery which is he realignment of my jaw. I really hate the length and width of my jaw which is very prominent. I'd like to shave the bone to be more v shape and feminine.
Would jaw reduction affect my alignment once I have the operation? Should I shave the bone down first or have the orthognathic surgery first so that my face gets as symmetrical as possible before the bone shaving? Especially since my face is longer right now on one side more then the other? I am also planning on having my nose done since it's also a little too prominent to balance my face out.
