I have sleep apnea, will Jaw Advancement Surgery help?

I have sleep apnea and it drives my spouse crazy. The noises I make at night are down right scary and I wish that no one would ever need to hear them. My sleep apnea is luckily not life threatening. Recently I read that a Jaw Advancement surgery might be able to help minimize these types symptoms from sleep apnea. Is this true?

The answer depends the type of sleep apnea you have, since not all types will improve with jaw advancement.  You should speak with a sleep apnea specialist.  Of then they are ENT doctors or Oral surgeons.  Most plastic surgeons do not do sleep apnea surgery (but some do).
