Is Breast Augmentation Dangerous?
What are the most common complications for a breast augmentation, and how often do they occur? Also... Can I count on the plastic surgeon to help me in case something goes wrong?
Breast augmentation is a safe procedure. There are risks with this surgery like any other surgery has risks, but if you are healthy, then typically your risks are very low. You should meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss these issues. At your consultation, he/she will discuss the procedure and the options, and then he/she can address any questions you may have about the risks. There is a process called "informed consent" where you will learn about the surgery and the possible risks and have an opportunity to discuss them with your surgeon if you have questions about them. In general, most people do quite well with this surgery and are very happy with the outcome. Best of luck!

Thank you for the question. There are many possible complications but in the majority of cases all goes well.
When you choose a board certified plastic surgeon he or she should be available to you in case something goes wrong.
