Is LA Erase's new tattoo removal method worth it?

I have been looking to get an old, poorly done tattoo removed from my lower back (bad 00's decision I've been stuck with for over a decade now). I'm trying to determine the best course of action to completely remove this thing from me. I don't want any of it to stick around, I am so done with this thing. I read an article about LA Erase, but I don't really understand why its different from other tattoo removal. From what it says on their site, Erase uses "shorter pulse widths than most other QS lasers - around 3.5 nanoseconds." Can someone translate this into english and tell me what it actually means for me?
