Is there any way to get cheap breast implants from a certified doctor?
I could never risk my health by undergoing this procedure with an unqualified doctor or by doing it in a third world country just to save some bucks. However, my possibilities are limited right now, and I'm trying to figure out a way to find a cheaper surgeon who can help me get breast implants. I'll probably need to get a loan too. Is there a type of implant that is cheaper?
Please be aware that all plastic surgery carries some level of risk. Every year there are hundreds of examples of breast augmentation “gone wrong” and cases where implant surgery ends up requiring expensive revisions.
When you pay for cosmetic surgery, you’re paying for the skill and aesthetic judgement of an experienced surgeon. I advise you not to shop for breast enhancement surgery or any other cosmetic surgery in the same way you shop for an off-the-shelf product. Not all breast augmentations are the same, and not all cosmetic surgeons are the same.
Smaller, independently owned surgical facilities can often provide top quality service at a rates that undercut large, expensive hospitals. Large hospitals often have premium priced facilities, endless additional fees (like sky-high anesthesia fees) and extra support staff which can significantly increase your costs.
Second, keep in mind that geography matters. Large, expensive cities are home to the most expensive cosmetic procedures. If budget is an issue you may want to consider traveling to a less expensive area for your breast augmentation surgery.
Lastly, I encourage you to communicate your budget issues with your plastic surgeon. Many plastic surgeons will be happy to discuss procedural options which can bring down their fees. There are also options regarding implant type (for example, saline vs silicone implants), and your surgeon may also offer financing options.
There is a wide range of prices for any cosmetic surgery and there are many factors which determine the price of a breast augmentation procedure.
The first contributor to the wide range in prices is the most obvious: the skill and expertise of the plastic surgeon. While saving money on your choice of surgeon may sound like a less expensive route, I assure you that breast surgery gone wrong is even more expensive over the long run. I encourage you to visit a surgeon who has extensive experience with breast augmentation and can show you before-and-after photos of past successes.
I would also advise you to consult only with a plastic surgeon who is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
No amount of money is worth taking risks with your body or your health.
Lastly, you might want to consider having your surgery performed at a teaching hospital.
In plastic surgery clinics at teaching hospitals the surgical procedures are performed by residents but well supervised by board-certified surgeons. While this approach does entail a slightly higher level of risk, it is a relatively safe and notable less expensive approach.

Saline implants are significantly less expensive than gel although if you have minimal breast tissue you may feel are see some rippling on the sides, especially when you lean over naked. You may consider going to a university that has a Plastic Surgery program and go to the resident clinic where your surgery is performed by a senior resident with staff supervision. This provides excellent care at a lower price.

You get what you pay for. If you are trying to have major surgery and trying to find the cheapest way to have it performed, maybe you should consider NOT having the surgery. If your financial situation is so dire that you need a loan and need to find a "cheaper surgeon", is it wise to spend money on surgery that you don't really need?
Yes- saline implants are much cheaper than silicone and many practices including ours has financing options for these operations. As you stated I strongly recommend to be sure to have the surgery performed by a well trained plastic surgeon because your health is not negotiable. Good Luck!
I would not recommend going to a facility because it is cheap. Most implant surgery's will cost $5900 and up. Most offices however do work with financing companies such as care credit which offer monthly payment plans. Best of luck.
Be careful what you wish for. Going for cheap may cost you more in the long run. Best to find a qualified board certified plastic surgeon by going to the ASPS or ASAPS websites to find someone in your area.
Saline implants are less expensive than silicone or memory gel implants. I have seen fees as low as $2,300 to $3,600 for saline implants in Miami. But you must understand the cheaper the less doctor-patient relationship you will have.At the lowest fee the conveyer belt effect of you being just another # must be considered!
