Is Ultherapy painful?

I am afraid of scalpels and also uncomfortable with the sagging bits of my face. I have heard about Ultherapy as an alternative to surgery. Can you please answer sincerely if the procedure involves pain, how much pain and if painkillers are involved?

Hi Agnes1963,

Ultherapy is offered at our office for skin tightening. Patients usually feel heat to the area being treated, which is a positive sign. In order to achieve a lifting effect, the right amount of heat needs to be delivered to the right depths of tissue. Everyone's pain tolerance is different but at our office, prescription pain medicine will be taken shortly before the treatment to make you as comfortable as possible.
