Is the Y Lift an effective non-surgical facelift?
Can this procedure really have the same cosmetic results as a surgical facelift? I've seen Dr. Yan Trokel's video demonstration, and I have to say, it looks amazing. What do other doctors think about it? Would you recommend it?
This is a trademark-named procedure promoted by the doctor himself. As such, most other plastic surgeons don't use his technique (why would I want to do someone else's "trademarked" operation which may or may not give better results than my own approach?). At the end of the day, the most definitive results from facelifting are achieved with support of the SMAS layer, fat grafting for volume restoration, and skin removal. The length or design of the incision is not the most important issue.

I have been using facial fillers for 16 years and I have been trained on the Y Lift. I think it is a very helpful technique on select patients to create a more defined cheek and jawline.
Do I use the Y Lift on everybody...no, but it is a great treatment option for non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Of course, surgical facelifting may offer better lifting, but most my patients are happy to have gradual improvements with minimal downtime.
I recommend seeing an Aesthetic physician in consultation to see what all your options are, including if the Y Lift.
