What are the common Breast Implant Risks Today?
I want to get breast implants but I will be devastated if something goes wrong. My procedure is timed with me moving to a new city so if everything goes well most people will not even know that I got implants. Yet, if something goes wrong and I need additional surgeries or adjustments all of that will be ruined.
Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed aesthetic surgical procedures. The most important element to patient satisfaction in breast augmentation, in my opinion, is sound communication between the patient and surgeon regarding implant selection, placement, incision type, and size. 3D imaging, preoperative sizing, and tissue-based planning all work together in concert to maximize patient satisfaction. Complications including implant malposition, infection, and capsular contracture can be minimized by sound surgical technique and precise dissection.
Breast augmentation is a very safe procedure when performed by board certified, experienced plastic surgeons. We've done hundreds of breast implant operations with a high satisfaction and low complication rate.
Infection, bleeding, capsular contracture, asymmetry, symmastia, implant leakage/failure. Very rare risk of ALCL cancer, less than 1 in millions.
Better self-image, improved sense of femininity and fitting into more types of bras, bathing suits and evening wear, restoring youthful appearance
For most patients, the risk of complications is less than 2-3% with a highly experienced plastic surgeon.
