What fillers for lips do doctors use?
What actually gets injected into the lips for a lip augmentation? How long does it last? And is there a way to reverse the effects if you are not pleased with the results? Thanks so much!
Thank you for your question. The material used for lip augmentation is typically a substance called hyaluronic acid. This is found in the Juvederm products. The effects typically last up to a year. Over correction or over augmentation can be treated with a substance that breaks down the hyaluric acid called hyaluronidase. When it comes to lip augmentation and a good, natural look, less is more. The 'duck lip' is not a good look!! Consult with an experienced, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist in your area and don't let them over do it!!
