What is the best surgery for reducing the fat in the thighs?
I have a lotta fat in my thighs. I have to keep changing my jeans all the time. It sucks. I have probably the fattest thighs in the world. :(
Liposuction is a good way to help contour areas of extra fat, but if there's too much, then other procedures might be necessary to get rid of excess skin too. It would be best if you could get closer to an ideal weight first, so that your surgeon knows how much to remove and if skin removal will be required too. Go for an in-person consultation with a PS to find out what would work best in your situation. Best of luck!
Dr. Jonathan Heistein has 4 Liposuction before & afters:
Excess fat in your thighs can likely be improved with liposuction, which involves inserted a tube (cannula) under your skin and suction the fat out. This is a surgical procedure that takes a few days to a week to recover. Coolsculpting, which is a not invasive treatment with no down time, involves a machine that freezes the fat, which then disintegrates over time. Both of these procedures are best performed on patients who are at their ideal weight. So it is always recommended you get to your ideal weight prior to having them done.
