What is the best way to treat sunburn?

Since I am so fair skinned, I tend to try and avoid the sun.  This past weekend my family and I went up to our Hamptons house since it was the last weekend of summer.  Since it was cloudy out I didn't really think to put sunscreen on and I am now so burnt - even a few days later.  What is the best way to treat sunburn?

Hi MalloryField,

Sunburn stinks! I am sorry to hear you are another victim of the sun.

Although you can see the sunlight and feel the heat, you can’t see or feel the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Sunburn is a radiation burn to the skin caused by these rays. When exposed to the sun at peak UV levels, sunburn can occur in less than 15 minutes.

We provide some great tips on how to heal a sunburn on our blog.  Hope this helps!

Best,
