What Should I Expect After Breast Reduction Surgery?

I want to have a breast reduction but I am bit worried about the recovery time. I work full-time and don't want to take too much time off from work. What's the average recovery time for a breast reduction? How soon will I be able to head back to work? How long before I can resume normal physical activity (e.g. Going to spin class)?

Most people take 2 weeks off from work. People with sedentary jobs may sometimes take less time off, while those with strenuous jobs may need more time off. Recovery time isn't too bad with this surgery. Most people feel pretty good after getting all the excess weight off of their chest. I let my patients resume normal strenuous activity after 4-6 weeks depending on their healing. Best of luck!

The recovery is very well-tolerated.I usually recommend  for patients to stay out of work for two weeks to allow time for the incisions to heal. As long as everything is healing appropriately are usually release patients to go back to aggressive exercise such as spin in 6 to 8 weeks
