What sort of results can I expect from rhinoplasty?

I have a large hump on the bridge of my nose from two previous sports injuries (both were breaks). I also have some problems breathing, which I think is a direct result of my injuries. What are common results that someone going through with a nose job can expect? Would rhinoplasty correct the bump and improve my breathing?

It is difficult to say exactly what will be needed without photos of your nose.  Generally speaking, humps on the nasal bridge are improved nicely with rhinoplasty.  The breathing issues are likely related to internal obstruction from the nasal septum or collapse of the nasal valve.  A facial plastic surgeon experienced in rhinoplasty will address both the cosmetic and breathing portions of your problem.

Hello, thanks for your inquiry. Rhinoplasty procedure normally fixes aesthetic problems like your bump, if you want a functional surgery too you need to see if your Plastic Surgeon works in conjunction with an ETN Doctor, for best results.

Please make sure that you and your surgeon are on the same page. Don't forget to discuss all your concerns, options and expectations thoroughly. Have a safe and pleasant PS Journey!
