What's the difference between chemical peels and microdermabrasion?

Hi, I've been searching for a way to make my skin look younger, you know getting rid of fine lines and dullness and all that. I'm pretty sure microdermabrasion or chemical peel is right for me but they sound so similar to me I can't figure out which to get. What are the main differences between chemical peel vs. microdermabrasion and which is best for my skin? Thanks!

Microdermabrasion works to improve fine lines and aging skin by exfoliating the outermost layer of your skin. This removes dead skin cells and produces new, fresher looking skin. Chemical peels improve the skin by removing the outermost layer chemically, however, depending on the strength of the chemical peel a deeper layer of skin can be removed. A mild chemical peel will provide results similar to microdermabrasion while a stronger peel will penetrate deeper into your skin for a more aggressive treatment Different peels are used for different purposes and are chosen based on the patient’s particular skin type and problem that needs addressing.
