Will an asymmetrical chest improve post gynecomastia surgery?

I am 6 weeks post gynecomastia surgery and I feel like my chest and nipples are asymmetrical. I didn’t notice it as much before surgery, so hopefully this isn’t a complication or a direct result of having the procedure. Will this correct itself over time or how long before I should start panicking?

Sometimes there is hidden asymmetry of your chest (ie the rib cage, the pec muscles, etc) which was not seen due to your gynecomastia.  When the gynecomastia is successfully removed, these asymmetries may become evident.  On the other hand, it is also possible that there was asymmetrical removal of the gynecomastia -- leaving more on one side than the other.  It would be best to return to your surgeon to discuss these concerns.
