Will insurance cover Botox for sweating?

I have experienced excessive sweating ever since I hit puberty.  I have been taking prescription medication to try and reduce my sweating, but I heard from a friend that some people have used Botox.   Since this is a medical problem, would it be covered by insurance? Thanks so much, I would really love to get off of this medication!

It might, but in today's insurance climate it is unlikely.  You should check with your insurance carrier on your benefits because some insurance benefits are better than others.  The other option to try, by the way, is Miradry.  Botox injections are temporary and need to be done usually twice per year.  Miradry is a permanent treatment that obliterates the sweat glands and only needs to be done once or twice and then never again.
