As a Bartender, I'm Always Getting Compliments on My New Nose
Before and afters
Honestly, I’ve never been shy about having cosmetic treatments. I’ve had breast implants, chemical peels, and dermabrasion prior to my rhinoplasty. And as a bartender, I see a lot of different faces. It’s easy to refer people. I’ve been really open with customers and friends about what I’ve had done, and I’ve already recommended Dr. Landon Pryor to tons of them.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. I want to start at the beginning and explain why I highly recommend Dr. Landon Pryor and how I came to get so many compliments from customers on my nose.
Finding Dr. Pryor
I met Dr. Pryor years ago when he first came into this place where I used to bartend. At the time, I was looking for someone to redo my breast implants. I’d had them done back in 2008 and it had been about 6 years. Some of his nurses knew me and they recommended him for the procedure.
To be honest, I went with someone else because I’d already picked them out and put money down, but I didn’t forget the recommendation. I ended up going to Dr. Pryor for several skin treatments, including dermabrasion and VI Peel. I was really pleased with his service and staff, so when I decided to get rhinoplasty surgery, going with him was a no-brainer.
Deciding on a Rhinoplasty
I wanted a nose job for cosmetic reasons. I didn't have anything medically wrong with my nose, and I wasn’t particularly concerned about nose size. I just didn’t love the way it looked, especially the nasal tip. I wanted something that turned more upward and looked cuter when I smiled. I’m 33, I’ve been through cosmetic surgery before, and it was time.
The consultation process was really simple. Dr. Pryor is friendly and easy to talk to. He helped me find what I want, answered all of my questions, and was just generally really accessible. We discussed cost, including the cost of a 3-year warranty, which I purchased.
I got to his office at 6:00 in the morning for my 7:30 rhinoplasty procedure. The staff was friendly and courteous, and honestly the whole thing was pretty straight-forward. I was prepped, got an IV for general anesthesia, and the next thing I knew I was waking up after it was over.
They were so helpful before and after the procedure. They even walked me through what to expect during recovery, giving me sort of a timeline for the days and weeks to come.
I took a postoperative photo at about 2:30 pm that same day. And to be honest, I was pretty swollen and bruised up. The swelling and bruising persisted for days. I would have been fine to go back to work after about a week, but I ended up waiting another week for the appearance to improve.
Aside from that, things started out pretty smoothly. I went in the next day for my follow-up. At my one-week follow-up, I had the splints removed from my nose. So far, everything was looking good.
I had my surgery on May 30th, 2017.
People compliment the work I’ve had done when I’m bartending, including my new nose. It seriously gets so many compliments from people who know me and who don’t know me. But most importantly, I’m 100% happy with the results. My nose looks great, and I’m really happy with it. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Pryor for this and other cosmetic procedures.
Rhinoplasty Cost and Overall Experience
The surgery cost me roughly $10,000.
It was all worth it. I can’t speak highly enough about him, his staff, and his facilities. The whole staff is super outgoing and helpful. They don’t lure you in and try to sell you things just for the sake of selling them. They really care about helping you. I became really good friends with the girls that worked there, and I trust their judgement.
They are also all extremely responsive. They’d text me about upcoming appointments. They’d call and leave messages too. Honestly, if I called today and said, “Hey, can I see a nurse practitioner,” they’d get me in right away. In fact, sometimes I’d swing by the office on my way home from work with a question that would take all of two seconds to answer, and Dr. Pryor would see me.
In short, they care about you as patient. They take you seriously. They’re there to help, and it’s worth every penny.
Tips For Others Considering a Rhinoplasty
So do your homework. Find the right doctor for you (and I can’t say enough about Dr. Landon Pryor), but know that there’s always risks. It’s worth it to take precautions.
