Been Getting Botox For Years
Botulinum toxin A
Hello, My name is Heather and I’ve had Botox injections for a number of years, with my first injections being done in my mid-twenties. My friend was training to be a nurse injector and I let her practice on me. I thought it was great and then didn’t have any injections for a while. I later noticed some deep frown lines forming on my forehead and wanted to get rid of them because I had makeup sticking to them.
I wouldn’t say Botox is addictive or necessarily a vanity thing. I just want to grow old gracefully and I do feel if you can have Botox and maybe some fillers, then perhaps I might never need to have any invasive surgery. I want to avoid having surgical lifts and things of that nature because I think that's when people start looking funny.
I do not get any bruising whatsoever when I have my injections done. The needle is so small, I often have to ask my injector if the procedure was even performed.
Botox is a pretty incredible drug.
Botox and Xeomin are toxins that block the muscles from contracting. When injected in the right manner at the right dose, they work 100% of the time to block the muscles from contracting. That said, it may be the case that these treatments are no longer producing the cosmetic effect that you are looking for. This may be because you require a different cosmetic treatment, such as laser resurfacing, fillers, or even a face/browlift. I recommend you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to learn what options would work best for you. You can also post your Request here on Zwivel and get multiple recommendations from mutliple doctors before going in for a full consultation.
