My life has been stressful and it shows on my face. My husband died of stage 4 renal cell cancer eight years ago and I was left with 2 kids to raise and debt. I sorted my life out and got remarried but the damage had been done. My face looked weathered and considering what I had been through, I wanted to spend some time and money on myself. I went to a doctor near where I live and he told me on the non-invasive side, Botox and fillers would be a good start to rejuvenating my face. Short of a facelift, I was pretty much willing to do whatever was necessary.
I went ahead with my injections at my first appointment and within a week, I noticed a difference in my forehead wrinkles and crows feet. I literally started to look younger with each passing week. My confidence soared and I started to like looking at myself in pictures again. Neither the fillers nor Botox left me bruised and battered. I would say both procedures were relatively easy. You feel a little prick from the needle but it's no worse than a flu shot.
If you're considering Botox and/or fillers, they are life changing. My face has improved so much because of these treatments. The only negative is the cost. I paid $650 for my Botox injections and $2000 for my fillers. I needed a significant amount of fillers because of the deep lines around my mouth. I know I'll have to remain on these treatments for life, but as long as I can afford them, I will continue getting them.
