Botox is Expensive but Works!

Botulinum toxin A
I was getting a bunch of wrinkles on my face and that's why I ultimately decided to stop being in denial and got botox injections. I had a tiny amount of crows feet, frown lines (elevens) and forehead lines. My forehead lines were the worst of the bunch and I let them get deeper than I should have. My decision to get Botox was pretty spur of the moment. I was at my dermatologist's office getting a skin check when I asked if he had time to inject me. Of course he did, because who doesn't have time to make $800 in fifteen minutes! Maybe those are New York prices but toxins aren't cheap!
When my dermatologist started injecting me I wasn't numbed at all. I could feel the prick of the needle at the injection sites and it hurt somewhat but not nearly as bad as a tetanus shot. Those really hurt! My whole treatment took all of 2-3 minutes. It really is that quick!
Right after my injections, I had what looked like tiny bumps of swelling but they quickly went away. I wasn't red or anything after my injections. No bruising either.
An odd side benefit of Botox that I wasn't expecting was a reduction in the frequency of headaches. I used to get pretty regular migraines but since I started getting botox treatments, their frequency has gone down a bit.
My fine lines smoothed out 2 months after my first injections. I waited a long time to get them, perhaps too long, but the stuff works. I will warn you, for the first day or so after your facial muscles get paralyzed, it'll be an odd sensation. You'll go to frown and realize your muscles don't work anymore. You'll get used to it pretty quickly though.
Botox has delivered great results for me. For how easy of a treatment it is, you really can't expect much better results. Go get it!
