Filler Injections to Treat Volume Loss in Tear Troughs
Procedure specific satisfaction rating
My name is Meagan, I am 25 years old and live in Vancouver BC. I go to Dr. Jalali at The Vanity Lab in Vancouver BC for my tear troughs. He is very good at making you feel comfortable throughout the procedure and it takes really only about 15 minutes to get this particular treatment done. I recently got my tear troughs done at Vanity Lab recently to touch up my old tear trough filler. This filler lasts about 1 – 2 years so I really like that. On average, it costs around $1,000 for this treatment but depends on your needs. This is a relatively painless procedure. They use a canula (basically a needle size tube) to insert the filler and this is done by using a needle to create a hole near your cheek/mouth fold and then the canula is inserted up towards the eyes within your troughs. The needle poke is really the most “painful” part and the rest is just a strange sensation because the canula itself doesn’t hurt, it just feels weird that you can feel it moving around in your face. Now, they do not use numbing cream because as I mentioned, it is a pretty pain free experience. I did not bruise or swell at all and the results are immediate. I know some people have to do this over two stages because they want more filler added and it’s better to do that over two appointments versus over doing it the first treatment and having to dissolve filler cause too much was injected. I only required 1 appointment to achieve my results. I am so glad I have under eye filler because I just look more awake and youthful. I also feel I do not need as much concealer because I am not trying to cover shallowness in my face that cannot even be covered by makeup and with my busy schedule, I always look tired so this definitely helps hide that. I recommend this procedure for anyone battling with shallowness in their face and who are looking for something that will give their face a fresh and youthful look.
