Had Sculpsure Treatment to My Flanks and Lower Abdominal Areas
I consider myself to be a very active person. I exercise for a minimum of an hour a day, 6 days a week and do 1 hour of cycling or the elliptical 3 times a week. I eat clean and live a very healthy lifestyle. The problem is I have bad genetics. My body seems to retain little pockets of fat that despite my best efforts, always seem to remain. My problem areas are my flanks and lower abdomen.
I was originally considering getting Coolsculpting, but my female friend told me that I had to try a new treatment that ‘used lasers’ to burn fat. She said her friend who tried both Coolsculpting and Sculpsure, were more impressed with their results after 2 sessions of Sculpsure. What did I know? I’m a guy and didn’t think I’d ever need ‘cosmetic surgery.’
My friend had gone to the Doucet Med Spa in Corpus Christi, which is 15 minutes from where I live. After having a consultation there, I booked my first Sculpsure treatment. At my consultation I was told what I should expect. They said Sculpsure was a great treatment for targeting pockets of fat and said each treatment are would take 25 minutes and it was recommended that I have 2-3 separate treatment sessions spaced a few weeks apart.
During my first treatment, the Sculpsure technician wrapped this belt that had slots for the Sculpsure machine heads to go into. The Sculpsure machine looks like an octopus and has 4 hoses coming off of it. The tips of these hoses has the square laser heads and they snap into the slots on the belt. They started with my back and that treatment was 25 minutes, followed by my lower abdomen, which took an equal amount of time.
When the Sculpsure machine is on, you feel waves of heat followed by cool air. During the most intense times, my pain level got up to a maximum of 3 out of 10. Nothing I couldn’t handle.
I went back to Doucet around the 1 month period and at that point I had slight slimming of my lower abs and flanks, but I wasn’t quite happy with my results. They suggested going with another treatment and I did. It was about a month after my second treatment, that I started to see results. I would say I’ve lost 20% of the fat that in my troubled spots.
Would I recommend Sculpsure? Absolutely. The machine certainly works and I like that it was non-invasive, had zero downtime and wasn’t painful. My results were great, but my treatment cost around $5,000 for both sessions. The cost is steep, but everything’s expensive these days. At least it worked!
