I Had a Laser C02 Mole Removal Procedure on My Nose
I had a mole on the tip of my nose and wanted it to be removed as perfectly as possible. I went to Rejuv Skin and Hair Clinic in Eagan, Minnesota for a CO2 laser treatment to remove my mole.
When I got to Rejuv they were very helpful. I had to fill out all my paperwork and then I got to talk to the nurse, Denise, who was doing my procedure. She looked at my nose thoroughly to inspect my mole and to make sure she would be able to remove it. She told me a lot of information about the laser, how it works and what to expect. I was very thankful for that, because I was very nervous this was all going to hurt. Denise showed me a lot of before & after pictures of laser mole removal procedures she had done. Denise then explained that I might have to come back for a touch up (which would be free) and we went into the procedure room.
The procedure room was a very nice and clean, which had a chair for me to sit on. Denise immediately put the local anesthesia in my nose with a needle to get my nose nice and numb. I'm not going to lie, this is where the pain kicked in. It only lasted about 30 seconds while she was doing the injection though! She was very quick.
As the medicine kicked in, Denise showed me the laser and explained to me everything that would be happening. First, she said she would test small areas to make sure the numbing agent was fully kicked in (which it wasn’t, so she had to give me more numbing injections). She also told me that I would be smelling burnt skin, which she was so right about. The smell is probably one thing I did not expect or think about going in to this procedure.
Denise tested the area that was just injected again to make sure it was numb this time. It was, so she started the CO2 laser treatment. Not only did I not feel a single thing during the procedure, but the whole removal process only lasted 6 minutes! I was so happy with how fast and thorough this whole process was. She did about 2-3 passes on my mole with the laser and when I looked at the treated area in a mirror, my mole was totally gone! The bump and everything. I did have an open wound and Denise told me to keep Vaseline on it, but it literally has healed perfectly! I am going back for one touch up, but only because I still have a tiny bump to get rid of. The color of my mole has not come back (I was told that this could happen).
I couldn’t be happier with my results! I will be going back to Denise for my mole touch up because I think she was amazing and spent so much time answering all of my crazy questions. She was extremely knowledgable and skilled with the laser. My C02 laser mole removal cost $202 when everything was said and done. I am 30 years old for those of you wondering!
