Botulinum toxin A
I am a computer engineer in the Bay Area and spend 10 hours a day looking at a computer screen. I find myself squinting staring at a screen a lot at work and by the time I was 25 I had already noticed I was starting to form lines between my eyes and on my forehead. When I turned 28, I jokingly told one of my co-workers that I was getting old and needed Botox. He told me I should. I thought he was kidding, but then he told me he had been getting them for years from a doctor in the area. I looked at his forehead and had never noticed that he had no lines and he was 35. He told me he never had any issues with the injections and went to a doctor named Evan Ransom. I sat on getting the injections for 2 months before I called Dr. Ransom to schedule an appointment.
At my appointment Dr. Ransom addressed my concerns and told me it was good I was getting treated sooner rather than later. This would prevent my lines from getting worse. He recommended a few units of Botox and I went for it. It only ended up costing around $400 and I found Dr. Ransom to be kind and he put me at ease. The injections did not hurt and I was in and out of his office in 15 minutes. I had the injections done during my lunch break and was able to return to work without anyone noticed I had anything done. 4 or 5 days later the Botox kicked in and I noticed I had a little less movement in my forehead, but could still move it enough to appear natural and not frozen looking. It took a few months for my wrinkles to smooth out and fade away, but Botox works. I like what it did for me and I don’t think any other men should be hesitant to get it done. It’s okay to be a guy and be concerned with your looks. If you’re in the Bay Area, go see Dr. Ransom. This guy’s really good.
