This is Anamika and I am a Beauty blogger & Influencer by profession. I am in my early 30’s and a mother of a five year old daughter!

I will be talking a little about my skin initially and why I decided to go for a chemical peel & Q-switch treatment! I have combination skin and large skin pores which I noticed recently and every time I would apply a foundation or any makeup product like highlighter/ blush it didn’t look good due to the skin pores!

Also being in my 30’s it appeared that I had light brown age spots on parts of my cheeks and it started to bother me and I became very regular with my Cleansing-Toning-Moisturizing Routine! After a while, I didn’t notice any visible improvements in my skin and so I thought I need an expert advice as to what to do about the skin before it is too late!

So, I was thinking to visit a dermatologist and it happened one day that while I was at a nearby market area and I saw Kaya Skin Clinic there. So I decided to visit them for an initial consultation and see what they suggest!

I consulted the dermatologists there and they assured me that my skin would definitely get better and after a little thought process I started the treatment which had 6 Chemical Peels & 6 Q-Switch Treatments for the dark spots over a period of six months! I had to pay 30000 ($445) for the whole procedure and I found it reasonable enough for six months time! This also included products to use throughout the procedure to save my skin from the sun and also help in replenishing it during the chemical peel treatment as the skin is really sensitive and prone to damage during the whole process!

When I got the chemical peels done, it happened that my skin didn’t peel enough or maybe they were using very mild peeling chemicals! After getting two peels (one peel each month), I could see that finally my skin started peeling and the new skin looked much better!

The chemical peels helped in reducing the skin pores, few spots on the nose & cheeks had also lightened! The Q-Switch treatments too were basically for the age spots on the cheeks & nose which were done with laser technique to form a thick crust on the skin which would eventually fall/ peel off on its own, thus lightening the spots! However, one of the side effects I experienced after these treatments was that my skin became too dry and now it feels scaly & stretchy all the time! Any amount of moisturizer is not enough to keep my skin hydrated all day along and this is the only concern I have!

All in all, I had a decent experience of the whole chemical peeling treatment and nothing extraordinary happened but yes I didn’t expect magical results so it was an altogether good experience! I noticed that the skin pores have visibly reduced and the skin after peeling looked much better. I literally skip using any concealer on my face now after the treatment so it really feels nice that the treatment worked for me!

The thing with Kaya Skin Clinic is that you need to keep getting such treatments every now and then and your skin will remain glowing & problem free but if you stop in between, then it is quite possible that your skin issues might appear again in due course of time!

Although I would suggest visiting a dermatologist for consultation and treatment because they would offer a slightly cheaper treatment with the same expertise and you can always visit them with any of your skin conditions even after 6 months or a year!
