Review of Juvederm Volbella Injections into My Tear Troughs
Ever since I can remember, I have always suffered from volume loss under my eyes, resulting in dark circles and the appearance of tear troughs. As I got older, I started to get under eye bags. As an adult, this made me very uncomfortable and self-conscious, so I knew I had to do something about it. I started to do some research, and last month I went to Contempo Aesthetics in Pasadena, California, to consult with Dr. Rachel Reyes-Bergano.
At my consultation, Dr. Rachel asked me what my goals were and listened to all of my concerns. She very nice and did not try and push anything on me. After she listened to my concerns and goals, she recommended Juvederm Volbella. She told me that it was one of the best dermal fillers to help eliminate the bags and dark circles under my eyes. Dr. Rachel put a numbing cream on my under-eye area and told me we needed to wait about 10 min for it to take effect. While I was waiting for the numbing cream to work, the girls in her office were so friendly and asked if I needed anything. They made me feel so comfortable and the whole atmosphere in the procedure room was very pleasant and bright. Dr. Rachel came back into the room after about 10 minutes, once the numbing cream took effect. She let me know what's she was about to do and started my filler injections. The Volbella injections took about 10 minutes to complete and were painless! Dr. Rachel injected the filler evenly into my eye hollows. She did such a good job and everything turned out perfectly. My results were exactly what I wanted and I had no bruising or swelling, which was great! I left her office and I could go back to my daily activities, without any side effects and I was no longer self-conscious.
It's now been a little while since my tear trough injections and I am extremely happy with my results. My tear trough area now looks great and I have very natural looking results. The whole process was quick and painless. I would also highly recommend Dr. Rachel and her medical staff. Volbellas cost is about $400 per syringe. I required 2 syringes, but my under eyes were pretty bad. Since Volbella is made of hyaluronic acid, it will eventually fade and I'll have to go back to Dr. Rachel. Having said that, I will have absolutely no issue returning to her wonderful office!
