How soon will I see PRP Hair Restoration results and how long will they last?

From my understanding, after a PRP treatment, it should take 4 to 6 months before you see hair regrowth. And I've heard it can take 12 to 15 months to see the full results of your PRP treatment. Is this information correct?

To date, there has been no clinically significant studies that have been in support of PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections for hair regrowth. The closest study involving PRP that I've seen has been related to its use with robotic hair transplantation - PRP with robotic transplantation improved outcomes. Unfortunately, without clinical studies the amount of use throughout the country is limited and therefore making these generalizations on when results can be expected is very difficult. In addition, for those undergoing PRP injections as an off-label use to restore/regrow hair lost to hereditary loss or thinning, are usually advised at the minimum to take an oral hair growth supplement.

All in all, this article sums up the opinion of most providers trying to do the right thing for their patients while still offering them the latest technology for an otherwise upsetting concern.

Best of luck to you in your search for answers.
