Is there such thing as knee liposuction?

I have been dieting and exercising over the past year and have seen some great results. I am a little self conscious about what my knees look like. They still have the same look as when I was heavier. Is there a procedure that can shrink the knee? Is there such thing as knee liposuction?

At 40 years old, I decided to get healthy. After a few months, I started to see a lot of changes and was happy. Unfortunately, as I watched my body change I couldn't help to notice that my knees didn't reflect any of the changes I saw in my other body areas. It was the one area where my weight loss journey wasn't happening. I found out that liposuction surgery was a possibility when I spoke with my physician. I decided to do my research and set up consultations with several, reputable plastic surgeons. Once I found a good plastic surgeon, so I underwent the procedure. The procedure didn't take a lot of time, and I only needed three weeks to recover. I loved the outcome and would suggest that anyone who has issues with knee fat consider fat removal with knee liposuction.

I was very self-conscious about how my knees looked. They continued to be a problem area for me, even with dieting and strenuous exercise. Fortunately, I was able to turn to knee liposuction. I always said I would never get plastic surgery, however I needed some sort of aide to help the loose skin hanging around my knee. I noticed significant improvement a few months after the procedure. Excess fat that would not seem to budge was now gone. It did wonders for my self-confidence! It was an easy procedure as well. The knees are a stubborn area that often does not respond to reduced calorie diet and exercise.

With some help from a knee liposuction procedure, anyone can look and feel their best. It is truly rewarding to get this procedure done. It made a huge difference for my knees, thighs, and that annoying saddlebag area. It also provided the motivation I needed to continue working out on a regular basis to constantly improve my body. I highly recommend it!

Thinking that losing 100 pounds would be a fix-all for me, I was more than a little upset when I found that my knees still looked the same as they did when I weighed over 300 pounds. I knew that there had to be some reason for it, and so when I reached out to my doctor, he told me that when you lose a large amount of weight, the knees are a common area that tend to be stubborn and hold onto fatty tissue.

Looking straight on at my knee looked as if there was a lot of excess skin, along with the inner knee area, and even the inner thigh area. Luckily, he put me in touch with a great, local plastic surgeon who performed my knee liposuction as well as some thigh liposuction (to the inner and outer thighs) to resolve this for me. It's not the cheapest, but it really is effective and I got the results I was looking for. My knees look normal and more proportioned to the other slimmer parts of my body now!

After working out and dieting relentlessly for months, I began to see some amazing results. I feel better and healthier, but my knees still look the same as before I went through my weight loss journey which makes me feel pretty down. I went to a doctor for help and found out that you can get liposuction to the knee area! It surprised me that this was possible, but I decided to check it out. I met with a board certified plastic surgeon who told me that I had great elasticity in my skin and that I would benefit from tumescent liposuction to the knee cap.

I was awake the entire time because the doctor used lidocaine which is a local anesthetic. Small incisions were made to the knee cap to remove the fatty deposits surrounding the knee. The procedure was rather quick and my recovery time was only a few weeks. I wore compression garments on my knees to try and reduce swelling and bruising. Knee Liposuction has made me feel a lot more comfortable about my legs and recommend it to anyone who is in a similar situation.

Hi There! I’m a physician assistant in Atlanta, Georgia and would love to help you out regarding knee liposuction!

Liposuction is a process whereby fat deposits are surgically removed. Small openings are made in any part of the body where fat is supposed to be removed. Fatty deposits are found in thighs, chest, knees, arms, abdomen, and other parts of the body.

Although liposuction is known to shape parts of the body, people are misled about the procedure as a weight loss practice. It is possible to have a successful knee liposuction if you have good skin elasticity. Before it is done, it is recommended to have an office visit for evaluation, then the doctor will advise you on what to expect.

I hope this helps and good luck on your cosmetic journey!

Hello, I am happy that you are considering this aesthetic procedure after you have patiently labored through exercise and diet for such a long time.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure performed to remove any local fat deposits through small openings anywhere in the body. These fatty deposits are commonly found in the chest, face and neck, flanks, thighs, abdomen, buttocks, calves, ankles, arms, hips, and knees. Though liposuction is merely a surgical procedure that aesthetically shapes your body, many people have often been misled to use it as a weight loss technique.

If you want a liposuction of your knees to be done successfully, I recommend you seek a board-certified plastic surgeon to examine you first. The surgeon will let you know whether you are a good candidate for knee liposuction. However, if you are sure that you have a good skin elasticity, then you can expect great results from the surgery.
