Are lower body lift complications common?

I'd hate to sound like a scaredy cat but I'm going in for my lower body lift next week and I need someone to put my mind at ease. My mother passed away when I was younger due to complications from a surgery (none cosmetic but still) so I've always been mildly afraid of going under the knife. This procedure is in a way to conquer my fear, I like confronting my problems head on. That said, is this really a risky procedure? I need to know what could go wrong...

All surgeries have some risk. Please make sure to seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Your surgeon will give you a better sense of what complications may occur with a lower body lift. Some of those risks include asymmetries and scarring.  It is important to make sure that your surgeon is board certified and has extensive experience because they have the ability and knowledge about how to minimize risks.
