How expensive is microdermabrasion? Is it worth it?

There seems to be a lot of different skin treatment procedures that can be done to leave you with improved skin. There is so much out there so it is really impossible to know what is actually worth it. Microdermabrasion seems like a very simple, pain free procedure but is it actually worth it? I know that you have to get around a half dozen treatments to start seeing really great results. How much should I be expecting to spend and do you recommend going down this path?

I’m a really big proponent of microdermabrasion – like so big that I actually balance a microdermabrasion facial into my monthly budget. I know how you feel, though, because money can be scarce, especially after something unexpected happens. But I will tell you that microdermabrasion does do what it’s supposed to do – it leaves my skin looking brighter and tighter with less fine lines and I never see any weird side effects. I also love having a spa day once a month. I actually look forward to these treatments. I think you just have to make a personal decision as to how much money you think younger-looking skin is worth.

I hated looking at my face and seeing acne scars and an uneven skin tone. I wanted to do something about it but wasn't sure what I wanted to do. A microdermabrasion procedure would not only clear up my skin, it would remove my acne scars. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to undergo the treatment. All of the reviews I read about microdermabrasion seemed to be positive. Microdermabrasion is a relatively inexpensive treatment when compared to other cosmetic treatments. My microdermabrasion cost about $200 per treatment. If you are suffering with bad skin, microdermabrasion will be a good starting point for you.

I get where you're coming from. It's hard to know what treatments are worth it. For me, I'm not looking for drastic changes, just quick things that I can fit into my schedule that help keep my skin healthy. With microdermabrasion, I can get in and out on my lunch hour and have basically no issues afterwards. It removes all of my dead skin cells and makes my skin feel clean and refreshed. It is somewhat of a luxury at about $85 per session in the Midwest, but it's also on the less expensive end of skin care procedures. I've found that, the clearer and healthier my skin looks, the less money I spend on makeup, cleansers, and lotions. For my skin conditions, the benefits of microdermabrasion outweigh the cost.

I’ve been getting microdermabrasion treatments once a month for six months now, and my skin has never looked so good. I used to break out all the time, but that doesn’t really happen anymore. And microdermabrasion is simple – there’s no damage to your skin, unlike with other treatments like a chemical peel and laser resurfacing. My microdermabrasion treatments fit nicely into my monthly budget. I guess the price of professional microdermabrasion varies from spa to spa, but it’s always less expensive than laser resurfacing.
