Can I combine a Turbinectomy with Rhinoplasty?
As long as I can remember I have had the worst allergies. During the bad allergy seasons, my turbinates inflame and it is very tough for me to breath. Is it possible to have a turbinectomy and a rhinoplasty together? I figure that I may as well kill 2 birds with one stone if I am going to have to recover from a turbinectomy anyway.
The turbinectomy procedure may be performed in your ENT’s office, possibly as part of a combination procedure that also includes rhinoplasty or sinus surgery, or as part of an overarching treatment aimed at treating obstructive sleep apnea. It is also possible, in some cases, to perform turbinectomy and septoplasty together.
