I am planning to get a nose job as I have got a deviated septum. The center cartilage of my nose is off-centered and I find it difficult to respire through the nose. I have got sinusitis too.
Can a nose job improve my sinus reaction? Is there anybody over here who can give me an expert advice on this? I am living in Toronto. Also, tell me how much a nose job will cost in Toronto.
Please give some genuine replies and suggestions. Thanks in advance.
A rhinoplasty solves cosmetic concerns, not functional concerns. What you need is called a septoplasty. A septoplasty corrects a deviated septum, which is a functional issue. Most board certified otolaryngologists (ENTs) should be able to perform this procedure without an issue. The cost of a primary rhinoplasty is usually between $5,000-15,000, depending on the doctor you go to and the region you live in (doctors in Toronto should be in this range). If all you want is a septoplasty, that should be covered by insurance (as long as you don't alter any cosmetic issues on your nose along with your septoplasty). I should also add that most plastic surgeons prefer not to do only a septoplasty (The money for plastic surgeons is in rhinoplasties, not septoplasties, and unfortunately, cosmetic surgery is all about patients paying out of pocket.). This is why it's usually best to go to an ENT for this. Unfortunately, I do not personally know of any good ENTs in Toronto. I'll ask around though and will find out if any of my friends knows of a good ENT in your area.
